Privacy

CLEAR ABOUT YOUR DATA.

This pilot privacy notice explains what BoostPlay currently collects, what may appear publicly, and how account, guardian and payment information is kept separate from public profiles.

Pilot notice: this describes the current BoostPlay product and operating model. It should receive formal legal review before broad public launch.

Information BoostPlay may collect

Account information such as your name, email address, authentication records and, where needed for age and authority rules, date of birth.

Athlete profile information such as sporting name, sport, position, age, city or region, profile image, story, highlights, club relationship and Boost Goals.

Club and guardian information needed to establish organisation authority, consent, roster relationships and financial responsibility.

Boost and payment records such as amount, recipient, status and payment-reference metadata. Card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored as full card credentials by BoostPlay.

Support, safety and technical information when you contact us or when the service records operational events needed to run and secure the platform.

What can be public

A published athlete profile can show sporting identity and discovery information including name, sport, age, position, city or region, profile image, story, goals, highlights, public BoostPlay ID and connected club context.

Public club profiles can show club identity, sport, location, story, goals, roster context, public BoostPlay ID and verification signals.

Public profile data is deliberately separated from private account identifiers, date of birth records, guardian contact details and payment credentials.

Children and younger athletes

BoostPlay uses age-based authority rules. Under-13 athlete profiles are guardian-managed. For athletes aged 13–17, sporting identity can belong to the athlete while an authorised guardian holds financial authority and consent responsibilities.

Minor public profiles use reduced location detail. Guardian and account information is not intended to appear on the public athlete profile.

Payments and service providers

BoostPlay may use specialist providers for hosting, database services, authentication, email delivery and payment processing. Those providers receive information only as needed to provide their service to BoostPlay.

Where payment checkout is enabled, Stripe processes payment-card information. BoostPlay records the transaction information it needs to identify the Boost, its recipient and its status.

How information is used

Information is used to operate accounts and public profiles, apply age and authority controls, process and reconcile Boosts, communicate with users, investigate safety reports, prevent misuse and improve service reliability.

Retention, access and correction

BoostPlay keeps information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain security and transaction records, resolve reports or disputes, and meet applicable obligations. Exact retention periods may differ by record type.

For access, correction or deletion questions during the pilot, contact support@boostplay.com.au.

Safety and privacy concerns

For a safety issue, suspected impersonation, inappropriate content or a concern involving a younger athlete, contact safety@boostplay.com.au or use the report control on a public profile.
